Bowling Pin People

Ten pins form the triangle
W I D E E Y E S-
Teardrop beads falling from their brows
Rippling the polished run way.

Cream lines guide destruction
"MUST RENT TO PLAY"
slip on your shoes
grab your weapon

Heavy neon colors draw attention
object of the game:
Knock down all the pins,
Lay down the nobodies!

Thunder crashing
Two guns shooting into each other
HIGH SCORE!
Want to join the league?

Frisbee Stealer

Green Stripes-Track Shorts
Purple Hat-Curly Hair
Easter Shirt-Silver Dove

Rain soaked mulch under out assembly
Evergreen needles cradle our hair.

Speakers mumble apologies to Ms.Jackson with
Rollie's,forties,sharpies,conspiracy theories!

Sprawled out, passed out, blacked out, peacin' out
of our hide-out

Not once-not twice-she was three times a lady
all sung out of tune.

I think this is what heaven will look like.

a box that's too small

The place where I live,
is considerably too small
being held captive
by every forsaken wall

I was a fortune
awaiting to be heard
a random fact
waiting to be learned

The oxygen levels in this box
are rapidly becoming low
fuck these walls and locks
this box won't let me glow.

Day Dream

I knew I was awake,
I could feel the warmth of the sun
welcoming earth at daybreak.

Eyelids transposing from the darkest onyx
to the depths of the deepest crimson
with visions of beautiful lyrics

Erase away my worries Lord
I dream of days in Heaven
where I’ve yet explored

I feel your arms enclose my body
fulfilling all you’ve written
I dream to you in the face of glory
to take me home unbroken.

Black Mail.

My back lay rested on the dingy carpet
flesh holding my spine from barely kissing the floor

the curve of my body resists the force of gravity
to hold the parallel position of the boards
Aloft my discomfort
the ceiling threatens catastrophe

He cries thoughts of collapsing
and threw the night he wept
Four taunting drywall pieces
surround me like a web

they black-mail me singing lyrical ballads
of all the things they’ve seen
I’ve concealed every fracture
just to keep them from talking
